White sage (Salvia apiana) with Vitis californica in the background. Our white sage plant is probably my favorite plant in the garden. I started to write a post about it this week but realized that Mrs. Homegrown already did that three years ago.
I have an informal rule about not talking about the weather on this blog, but this was the best week in months.
When I first saw this I thought it might be a viral marketing video (GoPro and the Pork Council team up!). But I think it’s real. The story goes that Mia Munselle was flying over her own property, dropped her camera and somehow managed to find it eight months later. The recovered video is the porcine equivalent of Gravity.
Via Romona Marks.
Artist Benedetto Bufalino re-purposed a vintage police car for his piece, “la voiture de police poulailler.”
Back in 1999 Atelier van Lieshout reused an Alfa Romeo for an installation called “Alfa Alfa.”
I should note that the art school damaged Mrs. Homegrown gets queasy when livestock end up in art projects. I’ll just ask if these two examples mean we’re witnessing an entire new genre of chicken art?
