I have a question about arils. I had a broccoli salad years ago that had arils in it. It was a delicious salad. I purchased arils in the store produce department. It was like eating rocks. Why were the first arils so soft?
Interesting. I had to google “arils” and I assume you are talking about pomegranate seeds. For one thing they aren’t in season in the northern hemisphere right now so I’m guessing that might be the reason. They ripen in September-October. We have a tree in our front yard–they grow like a weed in our climate.
