Being from Buffalo, NY, we are blessed with the Burchfield Penney Art Center (www.burchfieldpenney.org) which features the work of the artist Charles Burchfield. What’s cool and relevant to this post is that Burchfield worked at M.H. Birge & Sons a Buffalo wallpaper company from 1921 to 1929.
In addition to his art work, the collection contains many copies of his wallpapers including drafts and sketches. Love the old wallpapers!
