  1. I am using your prickly pear cactus jelly recipe of 2007 and having a very difficult time in getting the juice through anything, including cheese cloth,colander, etc. Has anyone made this using the cut up fruit, boiled and then put into a blender? Then using the whole product to make a jam?

    • Hi Jean, I would try running it through a blender and then pushing it through a colander. An alternate method I’ve used that works better is to use a food mill if you have one. Another method: Mikey and Wendy of Holy Scrap Hot Springs use a steam juicer–I talk to them about this on our podcast which will be up on Wednesday.
