  1. You have outdone yourself this week, Erik.
    * The make-your-own Bayeux tapestry is pitted directly against the Metabolic Studio’s new embroider-to-important-readings series and is a set-up for me to make poor choices, given the choice to do virtual (yeah, yeah, yeah) or real, handmade needlework (waaaaa, too hard).
    * I shared “Obrigado, Internet” on The FB, with my own caption: “It was the most Dickensian of times and the most Dickensian of times.” (I tagged you in a h/t.)
    * “Cactus smuggler” is kinda triggering. Has me humming ♫ Where have all the Dudleyas gone? ♫
    * Gary Krueger’s “Graumann’s Chinese Theatre, 1978” renders me speechless (asphyxiated by mirth)
    * I wish I could rustle up interior and exterior photos of the 1972 Tudor my parents build in my hometown of 3,000 in rural (not-New Orleans) N. Louisiana (the deathplace of Bonnie and Clyde, just south of the Arkansas border) so we might compare and contrast it with the 1978 Tudor in Iredell County, N. Carolina of McMansionHell. I don’t think we should characterize my parents’ as a McMansion, since my mother (not an architect, but instead a florist and bookkeeper for my father’s funeral business) designed it. But she definitely was drawing on the same body of influences. Again, I find myself triggered.

  2. Ha! I love your round ups. Today that honey buzzard totally stole the show for me. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know, whether they enjoy birding or not. 😉
