  1. The clothing offerings at so-called “thrift” chain stores like Goodwill, Vincent DePaul, etc., are almost brutally offensive these days. In my neck of the woods, they seem to be putting all the good/durable brands on their website to be sold at a premium, while the garments making it to the racks in their stores tend to be cheap, disposable things from WalMart, Target, etc., and they’re already significantly worn and damaged. AND in some cases the stores charge more for used garments than mall stores charge on their sale racks. It’s a mess.
