wow, great links! I was intrigued by the air cooler – I assumed it would involve water in some way. That is fascinating! And the highways – I think it was Diane Rheam on NPR this week who had a show on this very topic, except that focussed somewhat on low income African American neighborhoods.
The moths are so interesting! I love seeing the moths that appear on my windows in summer months, and their camoflauge. One of my favorites is a moth about the size of a nickel, shaped like a T.
