Kelly, a while back you posted about wanting a uniform to wear. That idea stuck with me, and just recently I came across a possibility that I really like. I saw a woman wearing a dress made from an apron pattern. She had lengthened the pattern so that it came just below her knees and replaced the ties in the back with large buttons the full length of the back. The resulting dress can be worn with or without a shirt underneath, with or without pants/leggings underneath. It could be made of denim with lots of pockets, of linen and lace for an elegant look, or of many other fabric combinations. It could also be worn the original length as a smock. I just ordered the pattern online and I’m hoping to get a sample or two sewn up in the near future. Here’s a link to the pattern: http://www.mkquiltdesigns.com/pattern%20pages/p-lillyapron.html
