Believe it or not, under current zoning laws, it̵7;s illegal in Los Angeles to grow flowers or fruit in a residential neighborhood and sell them. Yesterday the Food and Flowers Freedom Act passed the city council and awaits the mayor̵7;s expected signature. It goes to show that revising outdated codes pertaining to local agriculture can be, at least here in Los Angeles, non-controversial.
