With Thanksgiving just around the corner in the US it’s time to rock the friends and family with some new cooking traditions. How about baking beans in a hole or deep frying your turkey? I discuss these topics, plus how to plant garlic with Eric Rochow of Garden Fork. Eric’s got some great how-to videos:

The only thing I’m wondering about the cooking in a bean hole for the loggers story is, what about the pots? Did they leave a trail of empty pots behind them? Or did the loggers carry the empties with them? How many pots did they have!?
I’m going to have to try bean hole cooking, it sounds easier than firing up my mud oven.
