oh wow, thanks for posting the info about eating invasive species!! I grew up near Lake Michigan, and now live in the country near St. Louis, also near the Mississippi and a small tributary, which are now awash with Asian carp. They are threatening my beloved lake. My goal is to develop recipes for this carp. When I tell ppl this they typically say ‘oh, it’s not worth eating’, but I know that Missouri Dept of conservation employees are already consuming them, and chefs at Univ of Missouri Columbia are developing recipes for them.
