Back in the 90’s when my kids were adolescents, they read a humorous book about future archaeologists examining the remains of a long-ago civilization called “Usa”. These scientists puzzled over the possible uses of such everyday items as toilet seats, which they postulated were a part of some elaborate religious ritual. I’ve thought about that occasionally since, wondering what future humans will make of my cast-aways.
