I really don’t like TV chefs. I especially don’t like TV chefs who have reality shows. But, I have to admit, Gordan Ramsay’s scrambled egg method works really well. The results are similar to Ruhlman’s method, but less trouble.

I’ve made those scrambled eggs several times, but I recently stumbled on another reality show chef’s technique for omelets and found it most excellent. The revelation for me was the silicone spatula.

Those eggs were just nasty looking!
I’ve got to agree. I think they looked awful. I don’t mind that people have different ideas. But this guy is trying to say that anything that is different from the way HE likes them is CRAP. No thank you!
I gotta say that while they may look funny, they are really good–if you like a creamy egg.
Great clip- loved it.. ! Many thanks… !
interesting about the Ludo clip above from Marty.. a bit different from Ramsay- does mix the eggs, does put a bit of salt before cooking.. and- also looks good!
You could also ala Ramsay, add your links here for sourdough bread..
I gotta say those eggs were under cooked for me but I will try the butter and creme fraise thing sometime.
I might have been convinced but I lost it at sexy eggs. When it comes to TV chefs, I’m an Alton Brown fan. He taught me how to cook most basic things with great, simple explanations for why things work as well as how to do them.
Butter and low heat is all you need to make scrambled eggs. I agree with not whisking the eggs ahead of the time, just throw them in the pan.
Everyone I know seems to add milk, though.
I use an electric mixer to whip eggs to a froth when I scramble eggs. People swear they are the best scrambled eggs. I put salt into the beaten eggs and leave out the milk. I did put in a splash of milk, but quit for some reason. My eggs are light.
