Hi, I’m a neighbor (Echo Park) and fan! Wondering if you guys have any recommendations on where to find arborist’s wood chips locally? I’m signed up for chip drop (http://www.chipdrop.in), which looks great, but is just getting started in LA so deliveries sporadic. Any tips? Thanks!
Howdy neighbor! My favorite mulch is free and is made at the Griffith Park mulching facility. Here’s a map: http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=pprkfq547h6r&lvl=18.41&dir=358.9&sty=b&rtp=adr.~pos.34.149896_-118.299788_near%20Griffith%20Park%20Dr%2C%20Los%20Angeles%2C%20CA%2090027___e_&mode=D&rtop=0~0~0~&form=LMLTCC
The piles are in the dirt parking lot across from the facility–open all the time. Just pull in and take as much as you want. I bring a bunch of large plastic pots.
Oh perfect, thank you!
