Because for the last several years my husband has worked Thanksgiving day but has Fridays off (he works M-Th, regardless of holidays), we’ve had our Thanksgiving dinner on the Friday of the week, so we can both spend the day cooking, cleaning, and whatevering. It also means we usually have all our guests able to show up rather than trying to compete for them for a Thursday dinner. Best part – when we figure out the inevitable item we’ve forgotten in the cooking process, there’s a store open! Granted, we have to deal with Black Friday shoppers, but there’s still a store open!
