As far as the add water and have soup article, wouldn’t it be just as easy-and probably better– to pressure can a soup base (broth, meat and vegetable), boil for fifteen minutes when opened and add the extras? When I worked, I took an insulated food thermos everyday. We still do today, especially when we know will be out all day. We have thermoses that keep food hot for 9 hrs and longer for cold. It works for us. I’d rather not reinvent the wheel.
