Ha! Our late doberman managed to eat a whole corn cob (thankfully he barfed it up later without a trip to the vet) and half a cheescake (in one gulp). One good thing about cats is that they seem to be more discriminating about food choices.

One of the mysteries of cats is that, despite their keen sense of smell, they seem to seek out stinky, reeking stuff to sleep on, while I, with my far inferior olfactory equipment, must hold my breath while carrying the stuff to the washer.
I had a cat who looooved the sweaty straps of my backpack. She’d rub her face on them and drool.
