Picture Sundays: Red Baron Peach in Bloom

red baron peach in bloom

A Red Baron peach tree blooming at a friend’s house. I planted one of these at my mom’s place and I wish I had one too. Beautiful flowers followed by tasty fruit.

  1. Those are some amazing blooms all right, such an amazing vibrant pink. Peaches are one of the things I miss from living in Southern California, North Dakota isn’t exactly conducive to growing peaches.

Back in Southern California I had three peach trees in the back yard, each ripened in succession. The first would ripen just after Memorial Day, the last just after Labor Day and I’d have “fresh off the tree peaches” for almost four solid months. Planting fruit trees that ripen in succession worked out fantastically.

  2. That’s just breathtaking! Thank you for sharing. I’m in Zone 5b Western Massachusetts and only the skunk cabbage has begun to peek up here.
