  1. I just knew my plants liked me to talk to them! However, I have a pink dogwood that is deaf. It is still three feet tall, ten years later, while it’s sister is over twenty feet tall. Yet, when I told it to grow or I would cut it down with loppers, it started growing a new trunk within the week. I have not given up on it even though it is growing weird. Maybe I should have another talk with it. The sister plant was talked to several hours each day. Now, I need to go have a talk with my asparagus.

I have always believed plants had consciousness and sense of self.
